Popular Boy narrates the story of a teenager who has no luck in love and decides to invoke an unusual Cupid asking him to make him irresistible.

About the music:

Popular Boy was an interesting project. After lots of confrontations with the directors, I suggested a hybrid orchestral/pop-rock score with some Latin percussions and prepared piano.
The idea was to “overdue” the music in a way that we can achieve a dual function: underline the scenes in the usual way but at the same time overdramatize giving them a slight but always present comic feel. The result of this was a dynamic and diverse score with lots of interesting cues and musical crossovers.
